Drawing on the considerable knowledge, experience and passion for drilling of General Manager John Simmons, along with other key company participants, Kalgoorlie based owner operated Jarahfire Drilling proudly introduce Jarahfire Drilling Exploration. The new Division has been created to increase the suite of services provided to include safe, professional and cost effective RC Exploration, Grade Control and Water Bore Drilling services to their clients.

The Company’s initial exploration fleet consists of a high capacity T685 Schramm Truck mounted drill (Rig 26), with 2 support trucks providing associated equipment, fluids and consumables. The drill rig is fully compliant with Australian standards and is fitted with an 1150cfm @ 500psi compressor, supported by an 1150cfm @ 500psi auxiliary compressor and an 1800 cfm @ 900psi booster, capable of deep hole drilling in the challenging conditions of WA’s green-field exploration environment.

Safety and Sample quality are paramount with manual handling tasks minimised by utilising a remote control KL rod handler and hands free hydraulic break-out system for handling the drill string as well as the latest adjustable Metzke sampling systems for high quality samples.

Continuing Jarahfire’s existing high standard of commitment to Occupational Health and Safety, the new Division’s policies and procedures have been developed adhering to the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety’s (DMIRS) Mineral Exploration Audit. This ensures compliance with the highest Occupational Health and Safety standards associated with the management of mineral exploration, including drilling both remotely and on an existing mine site.

Jarahfire’s core personnel are highly experienced professionals utilising best practice and equipment to safely provide efficient, accurate and cost-effective samples. New employees and trainees receive quality training on site and through a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) giving them a nationally accredited certification in Mineral Exploration Drilling.
