Our Principal Consultant, Kirsty has 16 years’ experience in the corporate communications and public relations arenas. Kirsty has worked as an in-house consultant for BHP Billiton, Woodside Energy and Alcoa. She provides strategic communications and issues management advice to our clients, who often consider her an extension to their in-house team. Kirsty’s grasp of strategic communications concepts, combined with her personable manner, ensure the smooth running of all communications programs at Platform.
Lynda is a senior communications professional with significant experience in the Western Australian resources sector. Lynda has provided high level strategic advice and counsel to executive and non-executive board members, CEO’s, executive management and project teams for a range of ASX-listed and private companies, state government agencies and small to medium enterprises across the mining and oil & gas sectors. Her experience includes working both in-house and as a consultant for organisations such as Newmont, WorleyParsons, Hess Australia, Woodside and Barminco Mining Services.
Tony is a senior corporate affairs practitioner with more than 30 years’ experience in management and advisory roles in the oil and gas, mining and banking sectors.
He has held senior communications and stakeholder engagement roles at South32, Woodside Energy, the Chamber of Minerals and Energy and Bankwest, and more recently has provided consulting services to medium-to-large oil and gas developers and operators in the areas of government, community and media relations.
Tony is quick to understand situational context and applies a business-focused approach to managing public risks and issues. He is a strategic and analytical thinker with an eye for fit-for-purpose communications solutions.
Tim is a media professional with a wealth of experience across television, radio and digital platforms. Tim anchored Nine Perth’s weeknight news for five years and launched Perth’s first live and local morning bulletins, Today Perth News. Tim is an experienced MC and facilitator and currently works in radio and on several new media projects. As a journalist himself, Tim has a comprehensive understanding of how the media operates and what motivates journalists.
Our Manager, Leanne has more than 16 years’ accounting experience including tenures with Rio Tinto and Dampier Salt. She has worked with Platform from the very beginning and keeps a watchful eye on financial performance as our company continues to grow.
Journalist and communications specialist with more than 25 years’ experience in Perth and London. Editor of thewest.com.au from 2009 to 2016 and was part of a team that produced several award-winning digital presentations. Covered major international stories from London as European Correspondent for News Ltd. Through Chris’ extensive experience he has developed significant digital and traditional media experience, including as a website editor for seven years in the State’s biggest newsroom as well as experience in strategic planning and project management to meet organisational objectives.
Alison is a communications professional with over 10 years global experience in the mining and oil and gas industries across Texas and WA. Alison has considerable experience in strategic planning for internal and external issues including international project closures, asset divestments, company growth opportunities and crisis management for major incidents and fatalities.
Tracey has more than 10 years’ experience in the media industry, specialising in business journalism, and has worked for The West Australian, Financial Times Business in London and WA Business News. In recent years she has crossed over into corporate communications and managed a monthly newsletter for BHP Billiton’s $8 billion expansion of Worsley Alumina Refinery. She brings a combination of writing experience, business knowledge and project management skills to her Senior Communications Consultant role at Platform.
Lorna is a community and communication professional with more than fifteen years’ experience in the resources industry supported by a demonstrated ability to build, develop and maintain strong business relationships. Previous experience includes working with BHP Billiton Nickel West across stakeholder engagement and community relations in Kwinana and Perth. She is currently undertaking a secondment at Alcoa in the role of Community Relations at Alcoa’s Kwinana Alumina Refinery.
Despite what the photo of her suggests, Bianca likes to think outside the box. As Corporate Affairs Advisor, Bianca is responsible for the communications, project management and marketing for several key clients. Bianca began her career in journalism reporting on the oil and gas and mining industry globally. She then made the leap into marketing, where she worked with several brands around Western Australia and internationally. She brings to the role her experience in the communications and marketing space, a well-developed ability to manage conflicting deadlines and a love of ticking things off her lists.
As Platform’s Public Relations Advisor, Tessa is responsible for providing communications advice to clients including the Lions Eye Institute, Northern Star Resources, WA Mining Club, Petroleum Club of WA, k2fly and Alcoa. Prior to joining Platform in 2018, Tessa previously worked at the Leukaemia Foundation, where she worked assisted with developing communications material for national fundraising campaigns. Tessa also has extensive experience across event management and social media.
Jono started out working in the media – as a radio presenter, copywriter and promotions manager for a string of top FM channels in West Australia and Dubai – where he had a front row seat to judge the effectiveness of campaigns in action. In 2011, he moved to the client-side of the process where he designed, executed and maintained marketing and communications strategies across a range of industries including education, agriculture and the energy sector.
Louanne is Platform’s Community Relations Specialist. With 20 years of experience in the mining and resources industry, Louanne has held a number of pivotal roles in community, marketing and business relations. Having worked in Community Relations leadership roles for WMC Resources and BHP Billiton, she is experienced in developing and managing business processes and tools that recognise and satisfy social responsibility activity, including stakeholder engagement, community consultation, social impact assessment and community investment.
Jo has over 10 years digital marketing experience, from both the UK and Sydney markets. Jo has designed and implemented successful digital and social media strategies, which drove significant reach, engagement and conversion to achieve KPIs.
Jo has built one of Australia’s largest, senior, professional community groups on LinkedIn.Through careful strategic planning and good project governance, Jo has launched and grown multiple director social media communities.
Jo has provided high-level strategic advice to boards and directors to assist with their approach to social media and digital strategy.
Highly accomplished marketing and communications leader with 20 years experience and a proven track record of leading integrated marketing teams and formulating and implementing innovative and effective 360-degree marketing and brand strategies and campaigns. Michelle has gained extensive experience in-house at multinational and public corporations and at marketing communications agencies across FMCG, resources, services and education sectors.
As Platform’s Public Relations Officer, Abbey provides support to Account Managers by producing high quality communication materials and assisting with events. Abbey graduated from her Bachelor Degree in 2018 and has previous experience in marketing and public relations, working for not-for-profit organisations and as a freelancing PR consultant. Her previous projects include organising and implementing an Inaugural International Women’s Day event, creating communication strategies to an array of clients and kickstarting social media accounts for brands.
Maud is a communications professional with extensive experience in digital media, focusing on the oil and gas industry. With the bulk of her career working within the resources sector, Maud has had the opportunity work with major oil and gas operators and service companies in Australasia, Asia and globally. Maud has provided communications, investor relations, internal and community support for local and international companies. Maud is passionate about the oil and gas industry, with a breadth of knowledge spanning the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors.
Richard has 20 years experience in the creative industries - as graphic designer, art director, creative director and producer of marketing campaigns, branded content and TV commercials.
With 8 years experience in the creative industry, Erin continues to dedicate her time producing innovative and creative solutions for a multitude of clients. Her work varies from branding, stationery, presentations, brochures, annual reports, editorial, press and digital advertising, signage and electronic direct mail.
Graphic Designer Sarah possesses an eye for detail and superb organisational skills. She excels in Platform’s fast-paced design environment where she manages print and production specifications timelines and deadlines to ensure timely and accurate delivery. Sarah has worked across clients such as BHP Billiton, Atlas Iron, Curtin University and Newmont Mining Corporation.
Grant has over 11 years experience in the creative industry, including graphic design, web UI/UX, animations, TV commercials, videography, photography and advertising.
Grant is an exceptional creative thinker, with the ability to generate solutions for clients through creative means, and has worked with many high-profile commercial clients including ANZ, Plunkett Homes, Linley Valley Pork, Pasta Cup and Hot Copper.
Grant also has extensive experience working with resources companies including BHP, Rio Tinto, Clough, Monadelphous, Shell and Fortescue Metals Group.
With a high level of attention to detail, Sandy has the ability to creatively convey ideas through text and image. Sandy is an important member of the Platform team and is an excellent project manager, regularly managing design tasks from start to finish.
Sandy has extensive experience across all aspects of design including websites, booths, presentations, brand and logo creation, image manipulation, digital, annual reports, corporate communication and event collateral.
