Our Approach

We use our depth of experience to create innovative strategies to help clients achieve their business objectives

We have a strong track record of delivering creative, engaging campaigns that effectively communicate corporate messages.

Our team of qualified, skilled and experienced consultants have extensive experience in developing marketing and communication strategies, and associated implementation plans. We take a considered approach to corporate communication, achieving results through establishing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and dialogue, and using creative elements as a support.

Our Story

Platform Communications was established in 2006 when Director Kirsty Danby identified a niche in the market for a dynamic and specialised communications, marketing, and graphic design consultancy.

Platform now represents major and mid-tier clients in the mining and energy sectors. We also have clients in the government, non-government, education, transport and industry association sectors.

Our Difference

We make it our business to understand your business needs, your short-term and long-term goals, and we always consider business imperatives when providing communications counsel.

We understand the need to tailor information and delivery to account for a range of factors, including the target audience, access to communication channels, language skills, and cultural differences. We use a range of communication tools including words, images, colour, symbols, and channels to get the right message to the right people, at the right time, first time.

We are strategic, linking communication solutions to the strategic needs of the business or project.

We use our depth of experience and proven track record to produce high-quality results in marketing, strategic communications, graphic design and visual communications, for our clients.

Platform is well-connected in mining. We have fostered and maintained strong lasting relationships with mining and energy companies and industry organisations, relevant media, community groups, employees and other key industry stakeholders. We see it as our job to assist our clients to do the same. We leverage those connections when helping our clients develop and maintain lasting and productive relationships with their stakeholders.

We know the industry and keep abreast of industry changes, policies and issues (with particular focus on covering economic, social and environmental factors). We apply this insight and understanding into strategy development and implementation.

We consider ourselves brand specialists. Platform acts as the brand manager for a range of clients, ensuring the integrity of the brand is maintained. We have developed corporate identities for numerous clients, including their logo, colour palette, photography style, and typeface. We have also developed style guides and coached clients to ensure consistency in application is achieved. Platform’s team includes social media experts who assist with social media tactics to complement brand strategies, such as content, social media tiles, hashtags and implementation.
